After finishing this painting, I wrote a poem to attempt to decipher what it was the painting was teaching me.
In white, I wrote about letting go. Not holding so tight the things I can’t control. I decided to move on in a way that was forgiving myself for being too desiring of it. I called the painting Mind Full.
But that didn't feel right. I realized I wasn't letting myself be angry.
So in gold, I wrote more ragefully. And thus Re: Mind Full was finished.
A painting about continuing to express ourselves deeply despite the object of desires being unreciprocating, because in doing so, we inspire others to do the same.
