Good Morning

Good Morning

I love going to the cafe. I called the period around the time that I created this painting ‘My Indulgence.’ So I created a painting that I felt expressed that.

I titled it My Indulgence. So comfortable I could just wrap my legs over and over and be so rooted in this beautiful feeling, enjoying my espresso and over-priced pastry. There was no jewelry or hair at this point. My goal was to have this at Tiffany's, hence creating it with a more teal color. Still a goal of mine.

About a half year later, coffee and a pastry became less of a comfortable indulgence and more of a ritual to productivity. I'd go to a cafe and plan new pieces, create new pieces, write poetry, and plan next moves. Now New York has changed me a bit.
I added hair to reflect the chic nature of the women and men of the city, and jewelry to be symbolic of my growth (and also to cater to the eventual fulfillment of my Tiffany's goal). And I changed the title to Good Morning.
